Technical description of a rehabilitation method
continuous pipe sliplining
according to PN-EN 752-2; 752-5, 13689; ISO 11296-1, 13566-2.
1. Material
The continuous pipe sliplining rehabilitation method (free relining, sliplining) uses polyethylene pipes (HDPE) and polypropylene pipes (PP). The pipes are made of plastic that should meet the requirements of EN 13244-1. Multi-layer pipes or pipes with a protective layer can also be used.
2. Equipment for installation of continuous sliplining pipes

3. Preparation to installation
After separating the pipeline section to be rehabilitated from the network, a towline is inserted inside. A guide roll is installed at the end of the line.
4. Installation
Into the prepared section a continuous pipe is pulled in – either from a roll or welded in situ into a section of required length – depending on the diameter. It is important to not exceed the maximum pulling strength – it could damage the continuous pipe slipliner. To reduce the friction, various slipping agents can be used, for instance: water, bentonite, slipping foil, etc. The pulling speed can be adjusted at the pulling machine. Once the whole prepared section is pulled in, positioning of the slipliner inside the old sewer is checked and the pipe laterals are anchored.
After anchoring and sealing the joints between the pipe and the manhole or insertion point in an excavated pit, the free space between the old and the new pipe can be injection-grouted. The grout is to secure the new pipe inside the rehabilitated sewer. If there are T-connections in the old pipeline, they should be connected to the new pipe through a section preventing uncontrolled injection to the house drain.
After installation of the continuous slipliner the excavated insertion pit can be filled and the surface – regenerated.
5. Inspection
TV Inspection
After the installation, acceptance TV inspection (including VHS or CD recording) is carried out. Inspection report is also prepared.
Tests
According to PN-EN ISO 11296-1, 13566-2.
6. Correction of flaws
Flaws are corrected using a robot controlled through a camera or / and inserting and gluing short pipe sections. In extreme cases it is necessary to make an excavation and install a new pipeline section.
